Images Quality |
The 18 MPx APS-C CMOS Sensor combined with the DIGIC 4 Image Processor is the same combination employed in the 60D, Canon’s current mid-range camera. It’s a tried and true formula that’s produced great results. ISO settings range from 100 – 6400 which is expandable up to 12,800. User-adjustable noise reduction allows for balancing between noise and detail for your images. Like the 60D, the camera has a 63 zone metering and a 9-point AF system. |

The camera has two additional functions, Movie Digital Zoom, offering magnification by about 3 – 10x and Video Snapshot which captures short video clips and combines them into one clip. The camera is capable of 3.7 FPS continuous shooting for up to 34 JPEGs or 6 RAW. Advanced image features include Basic+ which gives the user more flexibility to take the photos they want quickly and accurately. The camera also has Creative Filters which offer some neat effects, 5 in total. Lastly, the Rebel T3i has a Feature Guide, similiar to Canon’s entry level camera. This helps users who may be new to photography by showing simple descriptions for the respective function they’re using.
